Giant Samsung showcased a new generation of gaming monitors including a 57-inch 8K monitor, and Samsung also announced its first 5K monitors for professionals and designers.
The new generation of gaming monitors includes a 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9 screen and an ultra-wide viewing angle of 32:9.
The new Neo G9 screen also has a display resolution of 7860 x 2160 pixels, and Samsung confirmed that it is the first small dual screen with UHD technology, and it also supports a contrast ratio of 1,000,000: 1 and an HDR rate of 1000ms, and Samsung also confirmed that it is the first screen that supports connectivity via Display-Port 2.1.
Samsung is also showcasing OLED screens dedicated to the game of curved design at CES in 2023, including a 49-inch curved OLED screen and features that mimic the Odyssey G8 OLED that it unveiled last year at the IFA event.
The new gaming monitor has a thickness of 3.6 mm and a curvature of 1800R supports AMD FreeSync Premium technology, is equipped with a Neo Quantum processor, and supports immersive black screens and brighter white screens.
The screen also supports the HDR True Black 400 standard, Mini-DisplayPort, HDMI, and USB-C to support 65W charging, and Samsung introduces the screen with the Samsung Gaming Hub, which allows users to easily access game streaming services such as Xbox Cloud and NVIDIA GeForce.
In addition, the Odyssey G95SC is planned to be the first OLED screen for gaming, with a size of 32: 9, a refresh rate of 240 Hz, Dual Quad-HD display quality, and a resolution of 5120 x 1440 pixels.
Samsung also unveiled a smart display that supports video playback with support for cloud gaming Microsoft 365 and users in the SmartThings Center.
Zhixian M80C has a 32-inch screen, 4K resolution, and 16:9 screen size, and is equipped with a detachable SlimFit camera.
The screen also comes with a feature called “My Content”, which supports displaying images, weather, and the user’s schedule, as the display interface is customized based on what the user likes.
Samsung also unveiled its first 5K display, the ViewFinity S9, which measures 27 inches and is designed to support professional designers as the screen supports a resolution of 5120 x 2880 pixels with 99% DCI-P3 coverage and color gamut. The screen also supports the HDR 600 standard.
ViewFinity S9 also features a detachable 4K camera, includes HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB-C ports, and comes with the SmartThings app.
